【 摘 要 】

Supporting the development of small andmedium enterprises (SMEs) is a strategic pillar ofInternational Finance Corporation's (IFC's)private enterprise partnerships (PEP) for Africa initiative,which coordinates advisory services efforts in sub-SaharanAfrica. In partnership with business development serviceproviders (BDSPs), PEP Africa provides business edge's(BE's) methodology, tools, and content, and also trainstrainers and consultants. Three years after theestablishment of BE in South Africa, IFC approached thecountry s finance and accounting services sector educationtraining authority (FASSET), to secure a trainingaccreditation for BE. Currently Tushiyah is focusing onbusiness development, and is also discussing the possibilityof increasing the number of trainers and of becoming thecountry s master franchiser.
