【 摘 要 】
Capturing the findings from the ShanghaiGlobal Learning Initiative, Reducing Poverty on a GlobalScale attempts to contribute to the broader existingknowledge on poverty reduction and the effectiveness of aid.The objective is to enlighten development practitionersabout observed achievements towards reducing poverty and thefactors behind them. Each of the chapters extractsimplementation lessons learnt from a subset of case studiesprepared along different poverty dimensions, focusing onsuch factors as the role of commitment and leadership,institutional innovation, learning and experimentation, andexternal catalysts. Instead of recommending particularsolutions or best practices, the book distills key findingsfrom the strategically selected examples and weaves theminto a topical narrative.
