【 摘 要 】

In developing countries the globalfinancial crisis is leading to serious difficulties forinfrastructure projects with private participation. In somecases governments are responding by simplifying theirproject approval processes or by substituting public forprivate financing. Even if markets recover quickly, theseresponses could pose significant risks. Containing thoserisks and dealing with the effects of the financial crisiscalls for specialized technical assistance in assessingcontingent liabilities, maintaining existing assets,assisting projects in distress, and maintaining a project pipeline.
