【 摘 要 】

Network diasporas are but the latestbridge connecting developing economy insiders, with theirrisk-mitigating knowledge and connections, to outsiders incommand of technical know-how and investment capital. Thisbook examines the interaction of expatriate talent withinstitutions in expatriates' countries of origin in anattempt to make the potential of diasporas and theirknowledge a reality. The question of how to trigger andsustain such a virtuous cycle is a central concern of thisbook. The focus is on the "how to" details of howto design effective diaspora networks and transform braindrain into brain gain.
