【 摘 要 】

The little data book on external debt, apocket edition of Global Development Finance (GDF) 2010:external debt of developing countries, contains statisticaltables on the external debt of the 128 countries that reportpublic and publicly guaranteed external debt under thedebtor reporting system. It also includes tables of selecteddebt and resource flow statistics for individual reportingcountries as well as summary tables for regional and incomegroups. It is the culmination of a year-long process thatrequires extensive cooperation from people and organizationsaround the globe-national central banks, ministries offinance, major multilateral organizations, and manydepartments of the World Bank. The little data book onexternal debt provides a quick reference for users of theGDF 2010 book, CD-ROM, GDF online, and electronicsubscription database. The economic aggregates presented inthe tables are prepared for the convenience of users.Although debt ratios can provide useful information aboutdevelopments in debt-servicing capacity, drawing validconclusions from them requires careful economic evaluation.
