【 摘 要 】
Following discussion during a two dayworking meeting, this publication brings together the editedpapers, along with a selection of supplementary materials. Afirst series of papers addresses competing definitions andconceptual issues around power and rights, illustratingthese with experiences observing and applying the conceptsin practice in different countries. Following this, papersaddress topics aimed at helping development practitioners toapply these concepts to their work. Part II contains thesupplemental materials, including a summary of the majortheoretical conceptualizations of power, and an overview ofthe literature on power and rights. Prepared by leadingthinkers on the topics of power and rights these materialsoffer both development professionals and students ofdevelopment studies succinct summaries of the relationshipbetween theory and practice.
