【 摘 要 】

The project, a joint initiative of theinvestment climate department and International FinanceCorporation (IFC) advisory services in the Middle East andNorth Africa, was launched in response to the Yemenigovernment's request for assistance with tax reform, acentral part of its broad reform plan. The 18-month firstphase, which ended in June 2009, focused on the groundworkincluding process mapping, drafting of the income tax law, acompliance cost survey, and so on, as well as preparation ofa communications strategy to support the work of secondphase, which just began in FY10.
