【 摘 要 】

The objective of this note is to provideguidance to the World Bank task teams engaged in supportingdecentralization reform on useful approaches tounderstanding the broader political dynamics which mayaffect their operations and dialogue. It does this bysynthesizing lessons from an analysis of the politicaleconomy of decentralization in Bangladesh, which was carriedout to support the World Bank operational engagement.
