The current assessment builds onpreviously published reviews of poverty reduction strategyprograms (PRSPs), and is the sixth report in a series. Thispaper aims at presenting a clearer picture of how PRSPsinfluence the developmental agenda in 11 African countriesby assessing the level of environmental mainstreaming in thePoverty Reduction Strategy Process. The paper includes thefollowing headings: introduction; framework for assessment;implementation of environment priorities; and conclusionsand recommendations.
