【 摘 要 】

Resource flows from extractiveindustries can be a lifeline for postconflict countries,helping to fund critical reconstruction needs. But theseresources present issues not found elsewhere in the economyand need to be well managed. Sector governance principlesthat apply to oil-producing countries in general are evenmore important in postconflict countries. This notediscusses these principles and shows how they apply in twocases, Timor-Leste and Sudan.
