Over the last several years, the WorldBank has increasingly engaged in impact evaluations as meansof building evidence for results. During this process, theBank has also produced an extensive variety of knowledgeproducts. However, there are several institutional andresource issues that constrain the effectiveness of ourimpact evaluation work. This brief outlines recent gains inthe Bank's work on impact evaluation, highlightsseveral issues, and proposes some options to continueimproving and expanding the Bank's efforts in this area.
