Equity emerged as the principal themeduring the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM)week session 'climate change, growth and poverty,'where presenters addressed the distributional consequencesof climate change, as well as countries' unequalcapacity to cope with the twin challenges of adaptation andmitigation. They highlighted actions to strengthen theglobal knowledge base, bolster domestic institutions, andmobilize innovative sources of financing as immediatepriorities for the World Bank and its partners.
