【 摘 要 】

The newest Bank supported social fundsare designed explicitly to increase the participation ofbeneficiaries in identifying and managing microprojects,with the aim of making project activities more relevant andsustainable. Features which support participation are builtinto the design of the funds ' management structure andof the microproject cycle. Additional time, management, andtraining resources are needed to assess and build thenecessary capacity of local organizations; and specialmeasures may be required to enable the most marginalizedgroups to participate.
