【 摘 要 】
Reforming bankruptcy laws is difficultfor many reasons. First of all, attitudes in Italy towardbankruptcy make it a difficult subject to generate supportfor. Secondly, bankruptcy reforms are complex and lengthy. They require changes not only to the bankruptcy law but alsoto other important parts of the legal framework, such as thecodes of civil procedures and, in the case of Italy, thepenal code. Finally, they require support from those thatmust implement them. This paper outlines the authorexperience in leading the commission for the reform of thebankruptcy law and the lessons learned from it.
