Celtel is dedicated to making lifebetter. In our eyes this means ensuring a sustainablebusiness to continue the infrastructure investment essentialto Africa's development. And it means doing so in afully transparent manner, including publishing what we payto Governments and state-owned enterprises : this amountedto some 35 percent of Celtel's revenue in 2005. TheCeltel story shows emphatically that it is possible, if notalways easy, to run a successful clean business in Africawhich can benefit all stakeholders and help to enable development.
