This note presents the main lessonsdrawn from an analytical and sector work on trade logisticsin Morocco. Public and private counterparts recognized thepositive impact of the World Bank's report to catalyzeand accelerate reforms' pace and to facilitatecooperation between public and private parties involved inlogistics reforms. A careful preparation process and astrong buy-in from public and private stakeholders involvedin logistics in Morocco made this Economic Sector Work (ESW)successful. To achieve this outcome, the Bank team basedefforts on a tailored approach to commission backgroundstudies, knowledge dissemination during preparatory work anda detailed action plan in order to create a rapid andpositive impact on improving logistics. The Moroccan examplealso demonstrates that, in a middle-income country, detailedand relevant action plan under a strong politicalwillingness and commitment to reform can achieve rapid andsignificant results.
