The transition government initiatedthree important national processes: (i) multi-stakeholderroundtables or mesas de concertacion to support the Fightagainst Poverty, (ii) formulation of national developmentgoals, and (iii) decentralization.The note discusses theactions that Peru has taken for a system of socialaccountability; looks at lessons learned in implementing theprogrammatic loan and future challenges.
