【 摘 要 】

South Africa has a comprehensive climatechange response strategy to support the transition to a lowcarbon economy and a climate-resilient society. Improvingthe national Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory and implementinga carbon tax are but two elements that form part of thistransition. Developing mandatory GHG reporting regulationswill support not only the National GHG Inventory but alsoaid policy formulation, implementation, and legislationwhile allowing South Africa to meet its reportingobligations under the United Nations Framework Convention onClimate Change (UNFCCC).
