【 摘 要 】

This report, City Development Strategyfor Can Tho, was completed to portray the long termdevelopment strategy for the city of Can Tho in the Republicof Vietnam. The report states that within the next 20 years,Can Tho city will be a dynamic development for the wholeMekong Delta Region. As a centerpiece of the Mekong deltaregion, the southern part of Vietnam and the adjacentinternational regions. Can Tho will be a typical riversidecity with a multi-center city system. It has the potentialto become a center of hi-tech industry, trading, service andtourism; science and technology, healthcare andeducation-training,as well as a communication center forthe entire Mekong delta.
