【 摘 要 】

While the economy continues to expandrapidly in Cambodia, real GDP growth eased to 6.8percent in2017 from 7 percent in 2016. Cambodia therefore bucked theregional trend, asmost developing countries in East Asiaexperienced a growth acceleration in 2017. Followingsomemoderation during the first half of 2017, textile andapparel exports rebounded. Thetourism and agriculturesectors experienced initial recovery in the last few yearsafter facinggradual moderation. Growth is projected toremain robust, expanding at 6.9 percent in 2018.Downsiderisks to the outlook include erosion of exportcompetitiveness due to rapidly risingreal wages, a buildupof vulnerabilities from a prolonged real estate andconstruction boom,potential election-related uncertainty,and periodic jolts to the international trade order intheform of protectionism and escalating trade disputes. Thisedition of Cambodia economic update is focusing on findingsof future jobs in Cambodia.
