【 摘 要 】

The health equity and financialprotection datasheets provide a picture of equity andfinancial protection in the health sectors of low-andmiddle-income countries. Topics covered include:inequalities in health outcomes, health behavior and healthcare utilization; benefit incidence analysis; financialprotection; and the progressivity of health care financing.Data are drawn from the demographic and Health Surveys(DHS), World Health Surveys (WHS), Multiple indicatorscluster Surveys (MicS), living Standards and MeasurementSurveys (lSMS), as well as other household surveys whereavailable. The tables in this section show how healthoutcomes, risky behaviors and health care utilization varyacross asset (wealth) quintiles and periods. The quintilesare based on an asset index constructed using principalcomponents analysis. The tables show the mean values of theindicator for each quintile, as well as for the sample as awhole. Also shown are the concentration indices whichcapture the direction and degree of inequality.
