【 摘 要 】
This World Bank knowledge note describesa benchmarking method developed to track the progress ofPacific Island Countries toward sustainable flood riskmanagement. Twelve benchmarks (or "trackingtools") cover most aspects of a flood risk managementprocess including understanding of flood risks, evaluatingoptions to better manage the risk, and implementing anintegrated flood risk master plan. The method was used toassess current urban FRM practices in Fiji, Samoa, theSolomon Islands, and Vanuatu, helping to identify gaps incurrent practice and highlight priorities for advancingflood risk management practice.
