【 摘 要 】

Overall, commendable progress has beenmade in modernizing public procurement in Bulgaria since theprocurement strategy was launched in 2014 and the landmarklegislation was passed in 2016. This report provides anassessment of the public procurement system in Bulgaria,reviewing progress since the public procurement act waspassed by Parliament in 2016, and providing a series ofrecommendations for further improvement. The government ofBulgaria should continue to co-ordinate relevant activitiesaimed at improving the public procurement system, includingon the basis of the recommendations of this report.
