This new flagship report for theeTransform Africa Project, produced by the World Bank andthe African Development Bank, with the support of theAfrican Union, identifies best practice in the use ofInformation and communication technologies (ICTs) in keysectors of the African economy. Under the themetransformation-ready, the growing contribution of ICTs toagriculture, climate change adaptation, education, financialservices, government services, and health is explored. Inaddition, the report highlights the role of ICTs inenhancing African regional trade and integration as well asthe need to build a competitive ICT industry to boostinnovation, job creation, and the export potential ofAfrican companies.
