This report presents an assessment ofschool health policies and institutions that affectyoungchildren inNigeria.The analysis is based on a World BanktooldevelopedaspartoftheSystemsApproachforBetterEducationResults(SABER)initiativethataimstosystematicallyassesseducationsystemsagainstevidence basedglobalstandardsandgoodpracticetohelpcountriesreformtheireducationsystemstohelpensure learning for all.School health policies acriticalcomponent of an effective education system, given thatchildren's health impacts their school attendance,ability to learn, and overall development. SABER SchoolHealth collects, analyzes, and disseminates comprehensiveinformation on school health policies around the world.Theoverallobjective of the initiative is to help countriesdesigneffective policies to improve their educationsystems,facilitate comparative policy analysis, identifykey areas to focus investment, and assisting disseminatinggood practice.
