【 摘 要 】
The covid-19 pandemic is increasingly aconcern for developing countries. Using a new database onCOVID-19 trade flows and policies, this note looks at therole of trade and trade policy to address the looming healthcrisis in developing countries with highest numbers ofrecorded cases. It shows that export restrictions by leadingproducers could cause significant disruption in supplies andcontribute to price increases. Tariffs and otherrestrictions to imports further impair the flow of criticalproducts to developing countries.
