【 摘 要 】

Experiences from previous pandemics andlarge-scale shocks show that these crises often affect menand women differently. Specifically, the effectiveness ofpolicy actions and the prevention of costly reversals in theprogress achieved towards greater gender equality willcrucially depend on how gender considerations are reflectedin the examination of potential impacts of and responses toCOVID-19. Not only women and girls can be expected to beimpacted differently, but they can also play different rolesin the response vis-à-vis men and boys that could enhancethe likelihood of success.
