【 摘 要 】

In this paper, the author seeks tosharpen the understanding of the economic channels throughwhich sector-specific distortions affect aggregate outcomes.Thea author pay special attention on how cross-sectormisallocation might arrive as a result of these distortions,and clarify how models of resource misallocation acrossheterogeneous firms differ from models of resourcemisallocation across sectors. The author present facts thatsuggest the presence of such distortions in Mexico, anoteworthy developing country. The paper highlights theimportance of understanding the origin and nature ofsector-specific distortions for policy design.
