This country note for Albania is part ofseries of country briefs that summarizes informationrelevant to climate change and agriculture for four pilotcountries in the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Region, witha particular focus on climate and crop projections,adaptation options, policy development, and institutionalinvolvement. The note series has been developed to provide abaseline of knowledge on climate change and agriculture forthe pilot countries (including Albania) participating in theRegional Program on Reducing Vulnerability to Climate Changein ECA Agricultural Systems. For Albania, this note wasshared with the Government and other agricultural sectorstakeholders, and used as an engagement tool for theNational Awareness Raising and Consultation Workshop onreducing vulnerability to climate change in Albania sagricultural systems, held in Tirana in May 2009. Feedbackand comments on the note from this consultation process havebeen incorporated into this updated version in collaborationwith the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and ConsumerProtection (MoAFCP).
