【 摘 要 】

Women are not receiving equal benefitsof the global development of oil, gas, and mineralresources, even as they shoulder a greater burden of thenegative impacts. Not only are men consulted more than womenin the project-planning process, but men's access tosubsequent economic benefits is much greater. The World Bankis supporting efforts to increase gender equality at everyphase of development of extractive industries by removingconstraints for more and better jobs for women, dismantlingbarriers to women's ownership and control of assets,and enhancing women's voices and agency.
