This note is the first in the GulfCooperation Council (GCC) knowledge notes aimed to promotedebate, discussion, and dissemination of knowledge for themost pertinent development questions the GCC region faces.It is based on the pollution load assessment reports forBahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar prepared as part of the GulfEnvironmental Partnership and Action Program nationalactivities led by Helena Naber and Samia Al-Duaij.
