The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic andits negative economic effects create an urgent need fortimely data and evidence to help monitor and mitigate thesocial and economic impacts of the crisis and protect thewelfare of the least well-off in Ethiopia's society. Tomonitor the impacts of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemicon Ethiopia's economy and people and informinterventions and policy responses, the World Bank Ethiopiateam, in collaboration with the government, designed andimplemented two high-frequency phone surveys, one with firmsand one with households.
