【 摘 要 】

Safe drinking water is essential forhealthy human development and survival, but millions of poorpeople in low-income countries only have access tocontaminated drinking water. For children, the problem isparticularly dangerous and deadly, with diarrheal diseaseslike typhoid and cholera responsible for approximately800,000 child deaths each year.
