This note provides guidance onconsiderations in the selection of an appropriate businessmodel through which to conduct an agricultural investment.Agricultural investments have a wide range of impacts,positive and negative. The choice of business model is one,but by no means the only, determining factor of thefinancial success of the investment, as well as itssocioeconomic and environmental impacts on the economy andlocal communities. This note outlines the general types ofmodels available and the considerations for selecting and ordesigning a blended model to suit the context of the investment.
