【 摘 要 】

This report discusses the testing of the Standard Model through a precision measurement of the W boson mass. first there is a brief introduction to the measurement and necessary background information. This is followed with aspects of the Standard Model most relevant for this measurement. The a description of the DO detector,the data collected and the selection of the events; the simulation of electrons and the recoil in our parameterized Monte Carlo simulation is introduced and the experimental backgrounds are assessed. Results, interpretation and furure prospects are presented.
