For the constant astigmatism equation, we construct a system of nonlocal conservation laws (an abelian covering) closed under the reciprocal transformations. The corresponding potentials are functionally independent modulo a Wronskian type relation. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
