【 摘 要 】

It is known that the Jackson-Favard inequality on polynomial approximation with respect to the weight exp(-vertical bar x vertical bar) fails to hold [6]. We show that this phenomenon holds for higher derivatives as well, while a modified version suggested by Lubinsky can be established. (C) 2020 The Author. Published by Elsevier Inc.
