【 摘 要 】
In the present article the available formulas for diffraction radiation (DR) by an electron near a perfectly conducting half plane are generalized to any direction of the electron velocity, using Lorentz transformation. This allows to take into account electron beam divergence in an exact way. A new method for determining both horizontal and vertical beam divergence using one slit DR radiator, but two optical wavelengths, is proposed. (C) 2002 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
