【 摘 要 】
The WFD combined approach is a key component of integrated water management in order to select the optimum wastewater recipient of the WWTP and forachieving good water status. The use of the combined approach was created to unify EQS and ELVS approaches, with appropriate waste water treatment technology, in order to achieve the environmental objectives in the river basin. Using the WFD combined approach is not sufficiently operational, so in Croatia the Combined approach methodology is adopted. Guidelines for mixing zone and prognostic models of the EU contribute to the implementation of the combined approach with operational and investigative monitoring. The problem of application is presented on WWTP recipient examples in the Sava River Basin. The aim of this paper is critical analysis of the contribution of the practical implementation of the combined approach.
