【 摘 要 】
The main objective of this paper is to minimize the system power loss and improve bus voltage profile. This paper presents the modeling and simulation results of Z-Source Inverter(ZSI) based Static Compensator (STATCOM).The IEEE Thirty three bus radial and weakly meshed distribution system with and without STATCOM are modeled and simulated using the MATLAB/SIMULINK. The present work proposes Z-Source Inverter for the control of reactive power and hence the voltage compensation in radial and weakly meshed distribution system with and without STATCOM .Voltages at various load buses of IEEE thirty three bus radial and weakly meshed distribution system with and without STATCOM are studied and presented.
