【 摘 要 】

The article covers David Ausubel's concepts of meaningful learning and its interference in learning as a cognitive construction, in addition to its influence in the field of information literacy. The method used in this study was the explanatory qualitative research, with an interpretive and critical view, of the analyzed works. The research offers a reflection on the theoretical framework in order to bring benefits to professional practice in relation to the development of information literacy. Among the results obtained, it is possible to show that the action and program for the development of informational skills will have greater success with the inclusion of the basic elements of meaningful learning. It is concluded that, for Ausubel, the subject already has a history, which is the basis for significant learning. The professional must be attentive when intervening, taking into account the formation of the individual's cognitive structure, bringing important contributions to different areas of knowledge, especially in the field of information literacy.
