【 摘 要 】
The recent headline-grabbing announcement of the long awaitedresults of the Muon g?2 experiment at the Fermi NationalAccelerator Laboratory (FNAL) has raised eyebrows. The international collaboration of scientists at the Fermilabclaims that the measured “wobble” of the magnetic momentof the muon in the presence of a strong magnetic field defiesthe prediction of the Standard Model (SM). The anomalousbehaviour of muons hints at physics beyond the StandardModel. A brief account of the momentous g$^{2}$ experimentand its possible implications on our understanding ofthe machinations of nature is presented here.
