【 摘 要 】
Non-polio enteroviruses are viruses that cause epidemics of polio-like infections around the world. Many cases have already been reported in Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States. These outbreaks typically result in excessive health facilities and deaths of children under five years of age. Most of these infections are usually self-limiting, except for neurological complications associated with human enterovirus A71 (EV-A71). The dynamics of infection with these viruses have not been fully understood, most findings from previous studies with poliovirus. Non-polio enterovirus infection is the main cause of oral outbreaks of oral disease, often associated with neurological complications and severe respiratory diseases. The aim of this study is to provide an overview of the characterization and applications of polioviruses and molecular markers.
