【 摘 要 】

That's a wrap : We transferred 3D-printed droplet networks from oil to aqueous phase and obtained multivesicular structures with designed, complex architectures. From these we generated functional synthetic tissues that can encapsulate coacervate sub-compartments, interact with the surrounding aqueous environment by releasing or detecting molecules and ions, and synthesize proteins encoded by encapsulated genes.
