【 摘 要 】
The Jordan Gallery of Fine Art shows how museums deal with the new problematics of contemporary art on the regional level, while allowing these to be taken into account in the long run. As a Museum, it bears a heavy political mark, but a mark that shows its limits when it comes to the social and political questions at stake. It pays particular attention towards regional contemporary artists and brings them to a global audience, and insists on the questions of war and cultural imperialism. But in the same time, this presentation lacks a deeper relation with the local audience, and the cultural freedom that it shows remains extremely dependent on the political imperatives of the Jordanian State.
