【 摘 要 】

This research is a revision of media reports on health information in the sections of the newspapers El Nacional and El Universal between 1986 and 2006. The analysis shows that the continuing struggles of the sector, epidemics and the hospitals situation remain as the main focus, and there are a little discussion of health and too much from conflict. The treatment of information is primarily informational, little divulgative, despite the mission of guiding and educating assigned to the health journalism, and sometimes we found promotional information. Much makeup and little real change, seems to be the sign of the Venezuelan health journalism in these two decades.
