【 摘 要 】

The transport sector is one of the most important sectors of the economy, as well as the largest component of the country’s economic infrastructure. Rail transport is the main mode of transport in Russia. Due to the huge territory of Russia, the percentage of transport coverage is very low. The harsh climate and the need for long-term long-distance transportation of goods cause certain requirements to the characteristics of transport. The regularity of traffic at any time of the year, high speed, the ability to carry out the transportation of mass flows of goods and passengers at a relatively low cost for a long time were the key advantages of rail transport. At present, it is necessary to expand competitive positions. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to identify the existing problems of management of competitiveness of the transport market, and identify the main trends in competition. One of the main risks for transport companies, both domestic and foreign, is a decrease in the volume of goods transported, which can lead to a decrease in operating profit and reinvestment, as well as uneven load of highways. It can be assumed that one of the most obvious measures aimed at improving efficiency and competitiveness is the logistics of transport and cash flows. Economic tandems for commercialization of technical and technological innovations, including with state funds, are also expedient. On the part of the state, it is necessary to take some measures to deregulate the transport sector and expand the form and range of services.
