【 摘 要 】
Sociopolitical violence and ideologies shape the way each generation understands and responds to their times. Enrique Rojas Paravicino in his short story “Por la puerta del viento” explores sociopolitical violence: terrorism and state terror in the history of modern Peru and its impact on the family. With a language that combines tenderness, dark humor, Paravicino produces deep awareness. This essay examines Nirvardo Portugal’s experience of recovering the body of his beloved step-son during the “years of violence” in Peru (1980-2000).
