【 摘 要 】
Spanish as a foreign language (ELE), a school course taught in sub-Saharan Africa according to the inherited model of France, from content to assessments, through the levels of education and duration. The purpose of this article is to describe the study of Spanish in the regulated plans in middle and upper school teachings at the African continent as the case of Gabon, from a conceptual framework inspired by Parsons’ (1997) action theory. This is to show the interaction between organizational structures, physical and symbolic ones, in every level of Spanish teaching. Then the paper sees if there is any consistency between existing structures and purpose of the teaching of Spanish in this country. We support the study analyzing contents: official documents and various administrative reports. The interest is to see how to improve internal and external efficiency in the teaching of this subject in Africa.
