【 摘 要 】

Inadequate maintenance management is the main cause of low vehicle availability and high costs caused by consumption of spare parts, failures and unnecessary stops for a transport company, the performance of proactive activities framed in the operational context of automotive and continuous evaluation they guarantee the efficiency in the productive processes of an organization. In the incubator company Santander S.A of the city of Bucaramanga in Colombia, there were certain problems, as a result of an inefficient information system in the registration, monitoring and control of activities carried out by the maintenance department; consequently, a precise evaluation of the state of compliance with the maintenance plan and the procedures carried out on the vehicles was not achieved. A monitoring plan was designed and applied to the maintenance program, based on the methodology of continuous improvement (PHVA cycle). The situation of the maintenance area was diagnosed and the formats used to control the effectiveness of the work were defined, the internal processes were defined and the teams were organized, all operations were recorded and the information provided was analyzed using indicators that allowed determine the operational performance of the maintenance unit.
